TAPIOCA HARD PELLETS

The benefit of using tapioca in animal feed, pet food and aqua feed as the primary carbohydrate source instead of grains is tapioca’s biochemical simplicity.

Grains are complex in the sense that they contain proteins and other phytonutrients in addition to carbohydrates.

Tapioca is an ideal carbohydrate source for allergy sufferers because tapioca is virtually devoid of protein and will not cause immune-mediated reactions like those observed in animals feed grain-based diets .

TAPIOCA RESIDUE PELLETS

Tapioca residue is a high quality energy supplement, with a similar starch content to maize or wheat (65-70%), but is low in protein and not as palatable.

Tapioca residue is a good feed for early lactation when there are high protein levels in pasture. Tapioca is well known for more NFE and starch and less protein, fiber and ash content.

It is a great balance with PKE which is typically low in starch.

It has a high content of carbohydrates which are highly digestible. The content of minerals is very low.

In cattle, tapioca can be used as long as the protein content of the ratio is balanced. For calves around 15% can be fed, dairy cows 20 to 25% and up to 40% for fattening bulls.

TAPIOCA

Tapioca is also known as Cassava, or Manioc.

Thailand in Asia, Brazil in South America and Nigeria in Africa are the world’s largest producers of cassava.

Currently, Thailand accounts for more than 60 percent of worldwide exports.

The tapioca industry of Thailand plays an important role in the agricultural economy in Thailand.

The Tapioca root has the ability to grow in dry weather and low-nutrient soils where other crops do not grow well.

Tapioca roots can be stored in the ground for up to 24 months, and some species for up to 36 months,

thus harvest may be extended until market conditions are favourable.
